Innovative Solar Solution Illuminates African Homes

Oraimo Powersolar76: A Beacon of Sustainable Energy

Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co., Limited unveils a home solar energy system designed to address Africa's electricity challenges with a blend of functionality and environmental consciousness.

In regions of Africa where electricity is scarce or inconsistent, the Oraimo Powersolar76 emerges as a beacon of innovation. This home power system, designed by Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co., Limited, is not just a product but a lifeline for basic household electricity and lighting needs. The system's design is rooted in minimalism and practicality, with an emphasis on user-friendly features and environmental sustainability. The control box, adorned with the brand's iconic texture, establishes a visual hierarchy while the green tone underscores the commitment to clean energy.

What sets the Powersolar76 apart is its tailored design for the African market, where it meets the essential power needs with ease. The solar panel's installation and angle adjustment are simplified to maximize photovoltaic conversion, ensuring that households have a reliable power source. The control box doubles as a light source and can connect to three additional light tubes, providing ample illumination. The inclusion of two USB ports and a Type-C port adds to its versatility, catering to various charging needs.

The technology behind this system is as robust as it is innovative. The LFP battery at its core boasts a lifespan that exceeds industry standards by a factor of ten, offering approximately 3,000 cycles. This translates to a reliable power source for nearly a decade, ensuring safety and longevity. The compact 74*345*350mm design of the Powersolar76 makes it an unobtrusive addition to any home, yet its capabilities are expansive.

Operation of the Powersolar76 is straightforward, designed with the user in mind. A quick press of the power button activates the integrated light, and subsequent presses toggle between brightness levels. The system's battery level indicator is a thoughtful feature that aids in power management, especially critical during outages. With up to 30 hours of illumination on the lowest setting, the Powersolar76 ensures that households remain lit even in the darkest times.

Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co., Limited's design team, including Yiqi Jiang, Yenchiu Hsu, Wenhsien Chiang, and Chunhua Tong, embarked on this project in January 2023. By January 2024, the Powersolar76 was ready to transform the African market. The research underpinning this design focused on the hazardous and inefficient methods traditionally used for lighting in African homes. The Powersolar76 offers a safer, more economical, and sustainable alternative, significantly reducing carbon emissions and indoor air pollution.

Overcoming technical challenges, the design team succeeded in integrating multiple functions into a compact form while maximizing photovoltaic efficiency. The control box's capability to connect to multiple light sources and charge devices through various ports is a testament to the team's ingenuity. The system's indicator light aids users in optimizing the solar panel's installation angle, ensuring the best energy conversion possible.

The Powersolar76 has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2024, a testament to its outstanding design and significant impact on advancing sustainable technology. This award celebrates the system as a trendsetting creation that not only reflects the designer's ingenuity but also embodies excellence with its desirable characteristics and positive contribution to the environment.
